Private Health Insurance

Most of the major private health insurance providers in the UK will cover all or part of the fees for seeing an osteopath. Not all osteopaths choose to see patients funded by private health insurance. We have seen thousands of patients funded by private health insurance over many years.

At this clinic we have osteopaths registered with all the major insurers (such as AXA/ PPP, BUPA and Simply Health etc), but if you are looking to reclaim your fees, please let us know at the time of booking your appointment so that we can make sure that the osteopath you see has chosen to be registered with your particular insurer.

Some private health insurance policies will have an excess in place for treatment fees. This means that the patient might have to pay the first part of the claim. We commonly see this to be something in the region of the first £50-£100 in any policy year but some policies will have no excess at all.

We would always suggest that you speak to your insurer before contacting us to find out if there are any special conditions on your policy and in most cases they will give you a claim reference number which we will usually need. They should also be able to tell you what is the maximum cost of treatment that they will pay for.
