During your first visit, you will be greeted by our friendly reception team, who will usually guide you through any necessary paperwork. We recommend arriving a few minutes early to ensure a smooth process. Once you’re settled, your osteopath or massage therapist will meet with you to discuss your medical history, your treatment goals, and answer any questions you may have. This initial consultation is a crucial part of your journey, as it helps us tailor our approach to best suit your individual needs.
After the consultation, your practitioner will perform an appropriate assessment to understand your condition better. This may involve physical examinations and movement assessments. Based on their findings, your osteopath will create a personalised treatment plan that addresses your specific concerns. If you’re visiting for massage therapy, your therapist will discuss the various techniques available and recommend the best approach for your situation.
Your first osteopathic appointment typically lasts up to 60 minutes, allowing ample time for assessment and treatment. After discussing your treatment plan, if treatment is appropriate (which it is in 99% of cases), your practitioner will begin the session, employing various techniques to help relieve pain and improve your mobility. At the end of the appointment, you will have the opportunity to ask any questions and discuss follow-up sessions to ensure your continued progress.
